Our Special Reports team that produced ‘Step by Step: The Path to Ending Child Mortality‘ has won the Association of Health Care Journalists’ First Place Award for Excellence in Health Care Journalism in the category of ‘Public Health’ (for a ‘Large’ audience).

It is a prestigious prize for health reporting and the award to be given at a three-day conference at the end of March in Denver where many colleagues, thought leaders and policy makers in global health will have a chance to see the important, compelling project our team produced. Among the 18-person team that worked tirelessly on this reporting effort were three GroundTruth fellows and one former GroundTruth fellow.
